A sit down with Jason Repko

DD: Jason congratulations on the win tonight.
JR: Thanks.

DD: Let's get right to it, what happened on that flyball that got over your head in right field tonight?
JR: I lost it in the socks.

DD: Socks?
JR: Yeah, socks!

DD: Whose socks?
JR: The guy in the first row of the second deck above our dugout.

DD: Oh, ok. Is this the first time you've sight of a ball due to clothing?
JR: No, not really. When I struck out in the 9th inning, that was because I lost the ball in the California flag.

DD: The flag? Really??
JR: Well technically, it's not a piece of clothing but it is still made from a fabric.

DD: Well, alrighty then. How about a few words on the big hot streak the team has been on of late. What do you attribute it to? Timely pitching, good hitting, perhaps one of the trades?
JR: Well, it was mainly due to the fact that I was coming off of the DL. The team really responded to my returnn from injury and I expect it to lead to a division title.

DD: Are you gauranteeing a division title for the Dodgers?
JR: Absolutely!

DD: What makes you so sure?
JR: The guys just seem to be really jelling.

DD: Jelling? Could give our readers an example?
JR: Sure, just the other day Kenny Lofton and the rest of the outfielders were all playing charades while we were shagging balls in the outfield during batting practice. Kenny was rolling around in the grass with his eyes closed. It was two seconds later that JD yelled out "Field of Dreams", and you know what, he was dead on correct. You just can't find chemistry like that on any high school or college campus.

DD: Well, thanks for your time. Good luck this weekend vs the Giants.
JR: See ya.
